Part 2: Inspiration Behind the Design of Daleks

Continued from part 1. Part 2 of 2.

We now know where the design of Daleks came from and for those that have seen the show understand that every Dalek looks the same besides for the main Dalek. The main or Dalek in charge usually has some unique characteristic that sets it aside from all of the other Daleks. In the episode “Stolen Earth,” the main Dalek was known as the, “Supreme Dalek” was red, and had a slightly different design to it. All of the other Daleks in this episode were gold and had the usual basic Dalek design. Another time the main Dalek was different than the other ones was when the Daleks had the Cult of Skaro. The main Dalek was known as “Dalek Sec,” and was completely black which made it stand out from the all gold Daleks. It is obvious to see who the main Dalek is in each episode of Doctor Who. For those interested in learning more about Dalek leaders there will be another blog that will hit on eugenics of Daleks and even a Dalek leader turning into a human-Dalek.

Here is a picture of the Dalek anatomy. It is rather in depth and one could spend hours looking at it. Unfortunately it was too much for me to tackle in a blog post.
